The Fashion Industry is a wild and crazy world full of consumption, pollution and slave trade, all for the latest trends. With the state of Mother Earth as it is at the moment, it is time for us to start making conscious decisions about the way we live, in every aspect of our lives.
Our ethos at The Green Seam is to provide clothing that is handmade with love in Australia using natural fibres. Every step we make is towards a sustainable future. Our clothing is slow fashion, made in small batches and 100% handmade with love in Australia. We source the most ethical and sustainable fabrics available in natural fibres including hemp, bamboo, organic cotton and natural cotton. We strive to use Australian businesses as our main suppliers in all aspects of our business, from fabrics and trims to threads and packaging. Our business is based on a 6 arce property in the Byron Hinterland and our fundamental goal is for this to be run completely by solar in the near future. Having clothing handmade in Australia helps support local businesses, reduces your carbon footprint and makes you feel good.
